Time for Winter Sports Registration

The Winter 2026-2027 sports registration will be opening this Sunday, October 18th and will remain open until SUNDAY, November 15th. The registration period opens early to ensure clearance for all student-athletes prior to the November 30th start date.
If your child's physical is expired, that is ok still sign up, if they have not completed their concussion test, that is ok still sign up during the registration period!!!
Important information:
·       Register even if your student-athlete's physical is expired or will expire before the winter season starts. You must have an active physical within the last 13 months during the season in order to participate. The athletics department has free physical coupons through Convenient MD- Peabody for those who have expired physicals and cannot make an appointment before the start of the season.
·       Winter 2026-2027 user fees can be paid anytime from sign-up until the first contest of the Winter season.
·       Incoming 9th graders, 11th graders, transfer students, or first-time participants must complete the IMPACT Baseline Concussion Test. If your child participated in a fall sport and completed the IMPACT test this season, they DO NOT need to take the test again this school year.
·       Tryouts will begin on Monday November 30th for all Winter programs. It is highly recommended families do not book vacations during this time for your child to participate in tryouts. Missing tryouts for any period of time, WILL affect their chances of making a team.
·       Student-athletes who are cut from their program will receive a refund (if they did not participate in a fall program or plan on participating in a spring program).
Registration Process:
2. Complete the online registration form
3. Submit a copy of your athlete's physical (within the last 13 months)
4. Complete the concussion impact test if needed·       https://www.impacttestonline.com/htmllauncher/?code=6GF5OD1B3Q

Juniors: If you'll be using your own device (Mac or laptop) you MUST complete a device check before the PSAT. We will be checking devices during Flex Block on Monday and Tuesday. Please make sure to bring your device in to be checked. If you are using a school-issued Chromebook you are all set. See Mrs. Moody or Mrs Koleszar if you have any questions.

Unity Day

Lynnfield Public Schools is proud to recognize and celebrate Unity Day with our partner, A Healthy Lynnfield. Across our schools, students and staff are encouraged to wear orange on October 21st. Wearing orange sends a message that the Lynnfield Public Schools support kindness, acceptance, and inclusion, which are values our schools strive to uphold each day. Unity Day is a part of a national campaign to help promote bullying prevention and positive school environments.

Scenes from Career Day

Metco Students HBCU Fair

METCO students at LHS attended the Building Bridges HBCU Fair in Boston at the Reggie Lewis Athletic Center. There were over 20 HBCU Universities across the United States there. This was an amazing event for our students to connect with HBCU representatives to get information on their schools and access many other opportunities available in New England.

Letters About Literature

Intereted students should reach out to Ms. Iannibelli.  iannibellim@lynnfield.k12.ma.us

Letters About Literature is a commonwealth-wide personal reflective writing initiative for students in Grades 4 through 12. The program invites students to read a book of their choice, reflect on it, and write a personal letter to its author, explaining the impact this work had on them.
Winning students, their teachers, and librarians are invited to the State House to participate in an awards ceremony and meet their legislators. Top students in each level win a cash prize. Want to learn more? Watch three long-time teachers talk about their experience running LAL!
Letters are read in three grade-level categories:
Level I:  Grades 4 through 6
Level II: Grades 7 and 8
Level III:  Grades 9 through 12
Submissions for Letters About Literature 2027 are open starting today, October 1st, 2026, until January 20th, 2027. Click the links below to be directed to the submissions page!
