Two years ago, we restructured our Vision/Core Values statement for our school. This year, we emblazened it upon the covers of the PTO provided agenda books as a constant reminder to students of who we are and what we stand for.
The Lynnfield Middle School community prepares and supports all students as they aspire to reach the STARS…
Self Advocacy - speak up for yourself
Tolerance - have acceptance towards all individuals
Achievement - reach the goals that you have set
Respect - maintain regard for self, others, and property
Service - help others and build the LMS community
Also, we believe that a successful middle school is one in which the academic curriculum challenges, and the social environment nurtures young adolescents. It enables students to experience freedom within clearly defined boundaries in order to develop decision-making skills. It provides for the development of individual initiative and encourages the building of community.
Our LMS STARS vision endures beyond the completion of 8th grade. These tenets continue through high school and adulthood. Even looking at the LPS policy, one can see the lasting connections with Self Advocacy, Tolerance, and Respect.
The Lynnfield Public Schools (District) does not discriminate against students, parents, employees or the general public on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, religion, or age.
We continue to work with all of our students within the tenets of STARS through our curriculum, team activities and programming. It is our goal to have every student continue their growth and development in these areas throughout their middle school years as we prepare them for high school and beyond.
