GOOD MORNING, today is Wednesday, March 11, 2020 and it is a day 2.

Extended afternoon detention will be today at 2:30pm in the media center.

The deadline for senior internship applications is this Friday, March 13th. Please submit your application as soon as possible, avoid waiting until the last minute. Internships will begin April 6th.

Tickets for the junior prom will be on sale today during all three lunches. Tickets are 85 dollars. Please bring in cash or make checks payable to the Town of Lynnfield. If you didn’t submit your prom contract, you will not be allowed to purchase a ticket. 

Today, March 11th, students and staff can get a Lynnfield Public Library card and pin number during all three lunches. 

March is Women’s History Month. Come check out the display in the Media Center on Women’s History. Here is a quote by National Women’s soccer player Megan Rapinoe: "I feel like it's actually everybody's responsibility to use whatever platform they have to do good in the world, basically, and to try to make our society better, whether you're an accountant or an activist or an athlete or whatever it is. I think it's everybody's responsibility."

Seniors should be checking Naviance for scholarship opportunities. Several new ones have been activated.

Students are reminded to check their school e-mail DAILY.

COMMUNITY SERVICE:

The 6th Annual Summer Street School Pasta Palooza Event will take place on Wednesday, March 18th.  They are looking for volunteers to help out with this.  To get more information and to sign up please do so in the main office.

The Lynnfield Moms Group is looking for volunteers to help out with their Summer Street School Spring Fling. This event takes place Saturday March 28 at Summer Street School from 9AM-11AM.  Please check the community service binder in the main office to get more information and to sign up. 

Haven from Hunger volunteers needed Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

SPORTS:

There will be a meeting for anyone interested in trying out for Boys Tennis today (3/11) at 2:30 PM in the health room.

There will be a meeting for anyone interested in trying out for Softball Thursday at 2:30 PM in the health room.
